Poland: Thousands march in support of refugees in Warsaw
Several thousand pro-refugee protesters marched through Warsaw, Saturday, under the slogan "Solidarity not nationalism." Filip Ilkowski, a protest organiser, said "what we see in Poland scares us, in the sense that there is a really chauvinist campaign against refugees."
Ilkowski went on to warn against the influence of the nationalism in Poland, stating 'this wave of hatred that, is built not only by extremist groups; fascist or extreme right, but unfortunately it is also the official rhetoric used by political forces that now will rule the country."
The right-wing, anti-immigration Law and Justice (PiS) party won an absolute majority in Poland's parliamentary elections on October 25.
