China: Russian PM arrives in Shanghai on inaugural visit to China ahead talks with Xi Jinping

Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Shanghai on Monday night, on his first official visit to China as prime minister of Russia, ahead of talks with President Xi Jinping and the Russian-Chinese business forum.

Footage shows Mishustin shaking hands with Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov and Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui at Shanghai Pudong Airport.

On Tuesday afternoon, Mishustin will speak at a plenary session of the Russian-Chinese business forum, visit the SINOPEC (China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation) Shanghai Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology, and meet with representatives of the Russian business sector, according to his press service.

On Wednesday, the Russian PM is expected to travel to Beijing and hold talks with Xi Jinping and the Head of the State Council of China, Li Qiang.
