Top Dad: Maverick - Yantai father spends three years perfecting hyper-realistic aircraft carrier for his son
Ren Bai Lin, a father from Yantai, Shandong province, made a realistic aircraft carrier model out of stainless steel for his son, as footage filmed on Saturday shows.
The aircraft carrier model is so detailed, it can even launch aircraft and could work both on water and land. The model aircraft, guns and even the tiniest part of the model can be remotely controlled using a handset, commends such as retrieving the anchor, launching a helicopter from the deck, rotating the ship's propeller or letting fire out of turbines, could be easily done.
The idea came up to Lin when he wanted to create something special for his son, he had made several prototypes before working out all details and used materials.
"I made the aircraft carrier model for my child. I made a static model before, but the child thought it was not very advanced, so I made this remote-controlled sea, land and air carrier model. The child liked it very much, and I felt a sense of achievement," said Model construction designer Ren Bai Lin.
The remotely-controlled ship model made of bright stainless steel took the builder about three years to complete. With reconstructed and revisions past versions, which he changed to fulfil his child's wishes.
"I have been working for three years, and the preliminary design time is relatively long, so the design and transformation need to be carried out simultaneously, so it took three years," Lin added.
