
Germany: Berlin 'welcomes the willingness' of Russia and Ukraine to extend grain deal - Deputy Govt spox
Deputy spokesperson of German federal government Christiane Hoffmann during a press conference in Berlin on Wednesday 'welcomed the willingness' of Moscow and Kiev to prolong Russia-Ukraine grain deal, .
"It's an ongoing process that continuously requires new efforts make sure that this extension is ensured, and we are appealing to the Russian government allow this extension to go beyond 60 days. Actually, it should be possible permanently to continue the grain exports," she said.
Hoffmann stated that the German government 'has taken note’ of the drone incident over the Black Sea' but 'doesn't have its own insight'. Deputy spokesperson also answered journalist’s question upon influencing Republic of Moldova back 'without militarily intervening'.
"I would generally say that certainly Moldova belongs to those countries that as a neighbouring country is heavily affected by the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine in regards to refugees, the state of the economy in general," she told reporters.
