Buffalo Bills fans were seen cheering outside the Highmark Stadium in Buffalo on Sunday, celebrating the recovery of their team’s safety Damar Hamlin, who will be returning to the NFL after suffering a cardiac arrest during a football game less than two weeks ago.

Hamlin paid a visit to his teammates during practice on Saturday, after making what has been described by local media as a “miraculous recovery.”

Bills fans shared their delight after hearing of Hamlin’s recovery outside the team’s home stadium ahead of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

“It was good to see him, so quickly, get back, be back with the team. I know he is working back from all the things going on. It was good to see him back in the facility, that’s probably a good morale booster for the rest of the team,” a fan said.

“We Love you, Damar, thank you for bringing the city, and this country together, you are the best, and welcome home,” added a second.

Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during the first quarter of a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2.

He was given CPR by medical personnel before being rushed to the intensive care unit of a Cincinnati hospital. He remained sedated in critical condition for several days.

The Buffalo Bills player’s condition steadily improved and he was discharged from the hospital last Wednesday, January 11.
