
Russia: Yakutian craftsman makes two-metre hare sculpture from manure
The sculptor from Yakutia Mikhail Bopposov made a sculpture of a hare with manure on the eve of the New Year holidays.
Footage, taken on Wednesday in Walba village shows local residents transporting the sculpture to a street in the village.
Local Sardana Baisheva said it was not the first time Mikhail has been making residents happy with his works.
"This year the rabbit he has closed the circle of symbols from the oriental calendar. The first one was a tank, probably not everyone knew about it, because he made it in his yard. Then there was the dragon, the dragon was very beautiful," she said.
For his part, the sculptor himself wished all his fellow compatriots that “the hare will bring happiness, health and success to every home.”
According to media reports, work on the sculpture began in November. Bopposov borrows the material for the sculpture from a relative who has cows. The hare is the 12 structure in his collection.
