    A huge art object in the form of an elephant appeared in the middle of the field at the entrance to Stavropol, as footage filmed on Sunday shows.

    The figure of the elephant is made of metal and has illumination.The 20 metres high statue is located near the highway between Tatarka and Demino.

    "A beautiful place, a huge architectural structure. The guys put their heart into it. It's good that something is being done in our region," local resident Denis told about the new attraction.

    The elephant is one of the symbols of Stavropol. A species called the "southern mammoth" lived in this area in prehistoric times.
