Montenegro: Protesters clash with police at anti-govt rally in Podgorica
Protesters clashed with police during an anti-government rally in Podgorica on Monday.
Police used pepper spray as hundreds of demonstrators gathered in protest over a law which they say curbs presidential powers, as well as the government's failure to appoint judges to the constitutional court.
Footage shows activists waving flags and throwing fireworks and other objects at officers, attempting to break through the police barrier in front of the parliament.
Montenegro's constitutional court has been blocked for months following the retirement of judges, which activists say is a potential threat to next year's presidential elections.
