    Italian authorities continued clearing the streets and coastal areas of Casamicciola on the Island of Ischia, which were destroyed by a landslide.

    Social services and volunteers are trying to restore the town's viability. The search is also continuing for four people who went missing on Saturday. The deaths of eight residents have been confirmed so far.

    The situation came after a landslide, triggered by torrential rain, struck the port town on Saturday.
