The huge quake has left more than 270 killed and around a thousand injured, while 151 remain missing.
Footage shows houses and roads destroyed, with many reduced to rubble. Rescue workers deployed dozens of machines to clear the debris and find the missing residents, a day after a five-year-old was pulled alive from the wreckage.
According to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency over 22,000 houses were damaged in total, and 58,000 people were evacuated.
The 5.6 magnitude quake struck the mountainous region of Cianjur at around 1:21 pm local time (06:21 GMT) on Monday, causing huge landslides.
