Indonesia: Rescuers continue searching for 151 missing residents following massive earthquake in Cianjur

Rescue teams continued searching for 151 missing residents on Wednesday following the earthquake that hit Cianjur, West Java, killing 268 killed and injuring thousands.

Footage shows the disaster's aftermath with cars, houses and roads all damaged across the region.

Emergency crews and equipment were seen digging and removing the rubble in an attempt to find those trapped underneath.

"For the evacuation process, we can not use hands, only heavy vehicles such as excavators will do the job for this kind of huge landslide," said one of the rescuers.

According to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency over 22,000 houses were damaged, and 58,000 people were evacuated.

The 5.6 magnitude quake struck the mountainous region of Cianjur at around 1:21 pm local time (06:21 GMT) on Monday, causing the huge landslides.
