    A ship carrying scores of migrants from the overcrowded hotspot of Lampedusa, arrived in Sicily on Saturday.

    Footage shows migrants disembarking the ship in Porto Emperdocle, while security forces were deployed to keep the situation under control.

    Migrants have been transferred from Lampedusa at the request of local authorities. The hotspot camp, which was designed to accommodate hundreds, hosted over 1,000 refugees, struggling to handle more arrivals.
