Welcome to the jungle! Duo show wonders of acrobatic performance with bamboo stick, steady shoulder and teamwork
An acrobatic duo Li Meng and Wang Fuquan in eastern China perform acrobatic stunts unbelievable to the eye. The duo uses their bare hands and bamboo to create some of the most marvellous acrobatic tricks. The duo shows the wonder of what man can perform with only a stable shoulder, coordination, teamwork and a bamboo stick.
What makes the duo special is that Li can climb up a 5-meter-tall bamboo pole and perform extreme stunts without a safety harness while Wang Fuquan remains stable on the ground, as footage filmed in Heze on Wednesday shows.
According to Wang Fuquan, they have practised this performance for 24 years. They were only 12 and 15 years old when they started practising acrobatics, and wish to continue for a lifetime. What makes their performance more challenging for them, yet more impressive, is that they never used a safety harness during the performance.
Wang added they "began to practice this trick from 1998 and never apart from each other. We have dedicated all our efforts together to every single pose and every problem we met during the practice. The 24 years of practising gives us a tacit understanding, which cannot be achieved within a short period."
Li said that he loved performing the tricks, he has been doing so for quite a while and is more than happy to "keep promoting this traditional acrobat performance to more people."
The duo came under the limelight after they posted short videos of their performance on social media platforms. They obtained tens of thousands of followers overnight due to their unreal performance. Many followers support them to insist on spreading this Chinese traditional culture.
