
Germany: 'WTO is in trouble today and trades disintegration is looming'- Fin Min Lindner
Christian Lindner German Minister of Finance delivered a lecture on climate crises and cyber security concerns and warned about threats towards the World Trade Organization (WTO) at the Annual Policy Dialogue conference in Berlin on Tuesday.
Speaking at the conference, Lindner stressed: "Today the WTO is in trouble and Trades disintegration is looming. Russia has started a war on Ukraine and chatted about Europe's security architecture and dangers of global food security as you mentioned and visit invasion of Ukraine it poses risks for global financial stability."
Lindner elsewhere remarked: "Efforts to fight climate change only be successful if act together by nature international cooperation is a cornerstone of our climates and ambition Germany is a strong and reliable partner in the area of international climate finance in 2020 Germany provided more than 9% of the total international climate financing from the public budgets and mobilised private resources."
The dialogue was organized by the Club of Madrid in association with the Liz Mohn Center, an initiative of the Bertelsmann Stiftung, bringing key stakeholders in Berlin together for a discussion on how to cope with the multiple and converging crises affecting the world.
