USA: Hundreds of Corvette enthusiasts get together for annual car show in Ocean City
Hundreds of Chevrolet Corvette fans from all over North America descended on Ocean City, Maryland on Saturday, for their 35th annual get-together.
"I am the owner of a Corvette too ... All I want is just to see other ones of the different generations from when they first started till now. Just a good event for the car fans out there," one participant said.
Footage shows many different models of the classic car, with some decorated with US flags and other personal motifs. Owners were seen mingling and discussing their respective vehicles and modifications.
"It is a 2005 Corvette, a C4 that has been re-bodied to look like the 1962 Corvette. The body is all carbon fibre, not fibre-glass. And this one was done 15 years ago. So, it's old," said Jeff, another enthusiast.
The Chevrolet Corvette was first produced in 1953. The modern version costs around 60,000 euros, while the most collectible can set fans back more than 10 times that amount.
