
Russia: Putin lays flowers at Tomb of Unknown Soldier as country marks V-Day
Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin Wall in the Alexander Garden in Moscow on Monday as a part of celebrations commemorating the 77th anniversary of the Victory Day.
The footage also shows the Russian leader tying the ribbon on the wreath with red roses at the war memorial and honoring the memory of the fallen in the war with a silent bow.
Putin also laid flowers on each obelisk at the Alley of hero cities and cities of military glory.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, veterans of World War II, and Suvorov military school students also took part in the ceremony.
