New Zealand: Anti-COVID vaxx protesters rally outside parliament for 4th consecutive day

Crowds of protesters against local COVID-19 restrictions occupied the grass outside parliament, on the fourth consecutive day of demonstrations, in Wellington on Friday.

Participants appeared to have pitched tents in a nearby park, with signs reading 'end mandates, we go home.'

A line of police officers could be seen monitoring the protest from the opposite side of the barrier separating protesters from the parliament building.

Protesters against mandatory COVID-19 vaccination have been gathering in the area since Tuesday, with the Wellington city council reporting traffic delays and various street closures as a result.

COVID-19 vaccinations are currently mandatory for teachers, health workers, and key public service workers.
