A lorry driver discovered six Afghan migrants in his trailer after hearing a noise coming from the back of his truck near Bad Rappenau in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg on Sunday.
The lorry driver had parked his truck near a car service area on the A6 autobahn and had walked away. After returning, he had heard knocks from inside his trailer. He had then run back to the service area and asked the employees to call the police immediately.
"I stopped here last night, I went to the shop in the gas station to buy something and when I came back I heard people in the back of the truck. I went back to the gas station, I spoke to the woman there and told her to call the police. The police came and out of the truck came 6 immigrants. I don't know when or where they entered the truck. I drove in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Tjechia," said Antonio, the driver.
The was reportedly the second time during the weekend migrants had been discovered in lorry trailers in the area.
