
Italy: Famous stolen ‘Salvator Mundi’ painting discovered in Naples apartment
Leonardo's school painting of 'Salvator Mundi' was uncovered in an apartment in Naples, as seen on Monday.
The painting dates back to the 15th century and was part of a collection kept in the Doma museum of the Basilica of San Domenico Maggiore.
The painting was reported stolen two years ago from the Muscettola chapel in the Neapolitan capital.
The 36-year-old flat owner was arrested on charges of receiving stolen goods.
