Red Cross volunteers could be seen providing aid to people affected by the first of two earthquakes that hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, leaving dozens dead and hundreds injured, on Friday in Mamuju, West Sulawesi Province.
Search and rescue operations were ongoing after the 5.9-magnitude earthquake was followed by a 6.2-magnitude quake, with the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management reporting that at least 34 people were killed, while hundreds more were left injured, with at least 15,000 people displaced by the quakes.
