    At least one person died and 17 were injured after a fire erupted in a building in the city Badalona, near Barcelona, on Wednesday night.

    Firefighter brigades were on scene, as police forces sealed off the area around the blaze.

    The Fire brigade announced on Twitter that at least one body was recovered inside the building. Two people were in critical condition.

    The number of victims is likely to increase as the rescue operations remain underway.
