Chinese artist creates impressive dice portrait of late football legend Maradona
Chinese artist Mu Songzhen created a portrait of late Argentine superstar Diego Maradona using thousands of dices, as seen in Harbin on Sunday.
Grieved by the passing of the football legend, Mu wanted to design a special piece in his honour.
"As a football fan, I heard the news of Maradona's death. This portrait is made to mourn him. I hope he will rest in peace," Mu explained.
Mu has been making portraits with dices since June. It usually takes him over 10 hours to make a portrait.
He chooses a high definition picture and turns it into pixels with a software. He then sets up the dices accordingly to create a real life portrait.
Diego Maradona, often regarded as one of the best footballer of his generation, died at the age of 60 from a heart attack on November 25.
