Argentina: 'I'm proud of what I did' - Maradona's doctor on legend's treatment following police raids
Personal physician of recently deceased Argentine football icon Diego Maradona, Leopoldo Luque, has had his house in Adrogue province and office in Buenos Aires raided by police. Police as well as prosecutor Laura Capra were seen entering his office on Sunday.
The raid took place after a witness reportedly spread information that Maradona recently had a row with his physician, which even included a shove.
Luque is under investigation for medical negligence after Maradona's death from a heart attack. "I knew he was sick, that if no one helped him, his life would get worse and worse. I tried to do my best with a very complex patient. I am proud of what I did for him," said Luque speaking to journalists in front of his house in Adrogue province.
The legendary Argentine footballer died on Novermber 25 after suffering a heart attack while recovering from brain surgery.
