
Italy: Fans gather by San Paolo stadium to commemorate football legend Maradona
Fans gathered on Wednesday to commemorate football legend Diego Armando Maradona outside the San Paolo Stadium in Naples, where he played from 1984 to 1991.
Maradona appeared in 188 Napoli matches, leading the club to its first Serie A title ever in 1987 and another one in 1990 - until today, the club's only two first division trophies. He also won a Uefa Cup playing for Napoli in 1989.
The football legend died of a heart attack at his home in Tigres, a suburb of Buenos Aires, at the age of 60.
