Russia: Alpinist cleans Russky bridge from ice after freezing rain *DRONE FOOTAGE*
Alpinists continued clean-up works on Russky Bridge in Vladivostok, which remains closed after the freezing rain brought by a cyclone stormed the region.
Drone footage filmed on Tuesday shows a person hanging on the cable bridge while knocking down the ice.
Ferries have been organised to transport people from Russky Island to the mainland and back while the bridge remains closed.
On Friday the governor of Primorsky Krai announced a state of regional emergency due to poor weather conditions. Some residents remain without light, water and central heating.
Emergency services are working day and night to return life in the region to normal. Special warming posts and field kitchens have been organised for the residents.
