Israel: Several arrested at anti-govt protest in Tel Aviv following rally ban
Scuffles occurred between protesters and police forces during an anti-government protest in Tel Aviv on Wednesday. The protest followed newly-imposed restrictions on demonstrations.
"I'm protesting already for two months in Jerusalem outside the prime minister's house, but this is reaching a new stage. The government is coming at us from all directions," explained Limor, a protester, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration of "cancelling every basic human right we have."
The newly-passed restrictions ban rallies of more than 20 people amid the COVID-19 lockdown which was re-imposed earlier following a surge in infections.
