Iran: Tehran says it 'cannot stand' conflict at its borders amid Nagorno-Karabakh clashes
The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh addressed clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh in a weekly press briefing in Tehran on Monday.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is seriously and closely following up on the changes, and we asked for detail from the parties [Armenia and Azerbajian]. We cannot stand the continuation of a military conflict at our borders for sure, and we will try our best with of all our power to reach peace at this border too," said Khatibzadeh.
The spokesperson also commented on international initiatives to find a solution for the economic crisis and the all-out collapse in Lebanon.
''We are in touch with several Lebanese groups continuously and [we] hope to solve this issue sooner,'' he added.
