Ukraine: Kiev protesters hit streets to demonstrate against Donbass ceasefire
Hundreds of Ukrainians marched through Kiev, Monday, to protest against the ceasefire which came into force earlier this day.
Protesters gathered in front of the presidential office, then moved to the place where incumbent President Volodimir Zelensky used to live, then ended up at the Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square). Footage shows them holding posters in Ukrainian such as, “Capitulation is death” and Ukrainian flags.
Earlier this day the ceasefire between the Ukrainian government and rebel forces in Donbass came into effect, according to the agreement reached earlier this month by Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe] in Minsk.
