Former Nazi concentration camp guard Bruno D. was found guilty on charges of being accessory to murder and handed a suspended sentence of two years in the regional court in Hamburg on Thursday.

The 93-year-old defendant was seen covering his face with a folder as he left the courtroom on a wheelchair.

He was found guilty on 5,230 counts of accessory to murder related to his time as a guard at the Stutthof concentration camp, near Gdansk.

The court gave Bruno D. a suspended youth sentence of two years because at the time of the crimes he was no older than 18.
