
Turkey: Four dead, dozens injured after explosion at fireworks factory in northwest Turkey
At least four people were killed and dozens injured Friday following an explosion at a fireworks factory near the northwestern Turkish town of Hendek.
Smoke was seen rising from the damaged factory as ambulances gathered near the scene of the incident.
According to Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, 189 workers were in the facility at the time of the explosion, which took place at around 11:15 local time (08:15 GMT).
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
