
Unbeaten Russian amateur MMA phenomenon Mokaev signs professional deal at 19 y/o
Undefeated Russian amateur MMA star Muhammad "The Punisher" Mokaev has signed his first professional deal with Brave CF.
The 19-year-old sensation holds an amateur record of 23-0 and has now signed his first-ever professional contract with Brave Combat Federation, the largest mixed martial arts promotion in the Middle East.
"I'm really excited I think my fans are excited too, because I've been in the amateur game for a long time and everybody is always asking me when am I going to go professional. Well now it's time, I'm ready to make the fans happy, my team and my family happy," explained Mokaev at his regular training gym in Liverpool, on Thursday.
At only 19, Mokaev's dedication to MMA is impressive. He has championed in the IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) junior world competition twice and he is also a two-time European champion.
"I train twice a day. Like in the morning I train in Liverpool, and in the night time, I train sometimes in Manchester, sometimes in Liverpool. I drive like 50 minutes, one hour, there and back every day. And I want to stay hungry," said the Dagestani.
"What motivates me is I think the way I grew up, I don't want my family to see the same thing. I don't want my family to face the same problems that I did. And this is my biggest inspiration," he shared.
