George Floyd's family and legal team held a press briefing as hundreds came to pay their respects to George Floyd at a public viewing of his casket, at the Fountain of Praise church in Houston on Monday.

The brothers of Floyd shared their feelings with mourners who came in support, with Philonise Floyd thanking them for showing up.

The mother of Eric Garner, Gwen Carr, as well as Michael Brown Sr, civil rights activist Al Sharpton, Head of Houston Police Department Art Acevedo, attorneys Lee Meritt and Ben Crumps attended the conference and expressed their solidarity with Floyd's family.

Civil rights activist Al Sharpton addressed the relatives of police brutality victims saying "The movement will not rest until we get justice for all of these families."

The attendees agreed on the idea that racism can be eradicated with the shared efforts of a worldwide movement.

Protests sparked by Floyd's death have been taking place across the US and around the world for the second consecutive week.
