
Cats with spooky 'human faces' become social media stars
Images of cats with supposed “human” faces and piercing eyes have caused a stir on social media, footage filmed from their Moscow home shows.
What exactly makes furry faces “human” is hard to tell, but the cats belong to the Maine Coon breed, which are known for their large size.
“It's easy to notice their intelligence especially in the eyes, you can see everything when you look at them, and even more,” the owner of the cats, Tatyana Rastorgueva explained.
Tatyana is taking care of the cats and uploading photos and videos of them to her personal page on social media in order to find new owners for the animals.
“They are very kind, very cute, very affectionate, but their appearance, of course, is very serious and formidable, sometimes looking in the eyes of Maine Coon, you can be scared,” Rastorgueva said.
Internet users noticed the supposed humanness of the cats, and left hundreds of comments and likes. Now the cats in have tens of thousands of fans from around the world on social media.
Tatyana Rastorgueva created a nursery in 2002, and now lives with more than 50 Maine Coons.
