North Korea: Kim all smiles at new resort amid reports of 'very important test' at missile site

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening of a brand new hot springs spa complex in Yangdok County, South Pyongan Province. The exact date of the opening ceremony is unknown.

Footage shows Kim surrounded by high-ranking officials inspecting the spa site, talking to visitors and laughing.

The video of the spa opening ceremony was broadcasted on Sunday, the same day the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) announced a "very important test" had been conducted at the satellite-launching ground in Sohae. It provided no further details about what exactly was tested.

At the end of November, Kim Jong-un observed the test-firing of a large multiple rocket launcher in an undisclosed location in the country.
