      Switzerland: Iran frees Chinese-American scholar in prisoner exchange *STILLS*

      Iran released Chinese-American scholar Xiyue Wang following a prisoner swap deal struck between Tehran and Washington. The exchange took place in Zurich on Saturday.

      Still images show US Ambassador to Switzerland Edward McMullen embracing Xiyue Wang, and the latter posing with US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook.

      Xiyue Wang, detained in Tehran since 2016, was released in exchange for Iranian scientist Massoud Soleimani, who was held for trial in the US.
