UK: Klopp 'not worried' about Mo Salah's fitness ahead of Napoli clash
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said star forward Mohamed Salah has looked 'really good' in training in recent days, while talking at a pre-match press conference in Melwood on Tuesday ahead of his side's game against Napoli in the Champions League.
Salah missed Liverpool's last-gasp victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend with an ankle injury which has dogged him for much of the season.
"Mo looked really good in training, the day before yesterday especially after the game," Klopp said. "Yesterday we didn’t do too much. So we’ll see about today but I’m not worried about it."
He added that despite Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne missing out on the trip to Anfield through injury, he still expects them 'to be really strong for different reasons.'
Liverpool fullback Andy Robertson echoed the sentiment, saying: "They have top quality players and that’s probably why the game between us have been so close but we know we can cause anyone problems as well."
Meanwhile, three of the Reds' Ballon d'Or contenders, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, all trained ahead of the game which will likely decide who takes top spot in the group.
