USA: Cuba Gooding Jr pleads not guilty to new sexual harassment charges
Oscar winning Hollywood actor Cuba Gooding Junior pleaded not guilty to fresh sexual harassment charges before a New York City court on Thursday.
The actor's lawyer Mark Heller made a statement outside the courtroom, accusing the prosecution of being "untruthful" for alluding that unreleased video evidence indicates that Gooding acted unlawfully.
"I have confidence in the jury pool of the state of New York and city of New York. New Yorkers are smart and when they see the evidence, they won't be tainted they will just offer their just verdict, which will certainly be not guilty," Heller added.
The American actor was previously put on trial for an alleged incident in which he reportedly groped a woman at a Manhattan roof-top bar in June. The trial was suspended in October after fresh allegations came to light that Gooding reportedly touched a waitress at a New York City nightclub inappropriately.
