Kim Jong-un rides white stallion up sacred mountain *STILLS*
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un rode a white steed up what is considered to be the country's 'spiritual home', Mount Paektu, in several pictures released by state media outlet KCNA on Wednesday.
The series of photos show Kim atop a white horse, on the snow-covered peak. They were reportedly taken after he rode up the mountain, which has ties to his family dynasty. The father of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il, was born on Mt Paektu, according to his official biography.
The publication of the pictures has pundits predicting a major new announcement, with Kim climbing the mountain in 2017, just days after launching the country's largest intercontinental ballistic missile and weeks before engaging in diplomatic talks with South Korea.
