Germany: Witness films police shootout with attacker in Halle
Video footage from a witness in the city of Halle, captured a gunman during a shootout with police, on Wednesday, shortly after two people were shot dead close to a synagogue in the eastern German city.
On Wednesday, a gunman reportedly attempted to enter the synagogue during Yom Kippur to carry out an attack, but was not able to enter.
The two victims were killed when the gunman opened fire on the street outside the synagogue and killed one woman, before driving to a nearby kebab shop and opening fire again killing one man and injuring several more.
The suspect then fled by car to Zeitz, roughly 60km south of Halle, on the B91 highway heading south, where German media reported that he was rammed by a truck and taken into custody by the police.
