      The Turkish military deployed a number of howitzers south of the city of Sanliurfa, near the Syrian border on Monday.

      Footage shows the weapons in a field as excavators are preparing the terrain.

      The US said that President Donald Trump had endorsed a Turkish operation against US-backed Kurdish forces near the border on Sunday.
