Cream of Turkish aerospace on display at Teknofest

Thousands of people crammed into Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Thursday, for the third day of Turkey's largest aerospace and technology festival Teknofest.

Combat aircraft, tanks and drones were showcased at the event organised by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Industry and Technology Ministry, in a bid to turn Turkey into a tech-producing country.

The latest developments from Turkey's burgeoning aerospace industry were on display, including number drones and even flying cars.

The aerobatics group Russian Knights also performed stunts at the event.

The festival, which runs from 17 to 22 September, is expected to attract around one million people.
