People were seen being evacuated from a nearby restaurant in Odessa, Texas, after a deadly shooting near Midland and Odessa on Saturday.

At least five people were killed, including one shooter, and up to 21 others have been reported injured.

Midland police stated on their Facebook page that the "active shooter was shot and killed at the Cinergy in Odessa. There is no active shooter at this time. All agencies are investigating reports of possible suspects." Police later stated that the incident started with a traffic stop, and that the deceased shooter was a white male in his mid-30s.

Three police officers are among the injured, reports say.

Earlier, Midland police suggested there were two shooters in two separate vehicles. It remains unclear if there is in fact a second shooter.
