Spain: Barca unveil €75m Frenkie de Jong as Bartomeu confirms Griezmann talks
Frenkie de Jong was officially unveiled as an FC Barcelona player at the Nou Camp on Friday.
The Dutch midfielder, who is widely regarded as one of the most precocious talents in world football, joins from Ajax for a fee of 75m euros ($84m), a move which he described as a 'dream.'
"Holland and Barcelona always had a great connection, of course because of the philosophy of Johan Cruyff," de Jong said.
Barca President Josep Bartomeu welcomed de Jong to the club but always revealed negotiations were still ongoing between Atletico Madrid and the Catalan club over French star Antoine Griezmann.
When asked about whether Neymar would be making a shock return to the club, Bartomeu said he knows the Brazil star wants to leave but that PSG did not want to sell him so 'there is no Neymar affair.'
