France: Spanish footballer Mapi shares passion for tattooing at Women's WC
Spainish women's national team defender Mapi Leon said that although football was her "passion" growing up, she would "love to work as a tattoo artist" during a press conference in Reims on Saturday.
She added, "even though I liked drawing, well I was good at it and I won this contest, but at the end what I wanted and where I used to spend my time was in the school after classes playing with the ball and it was what I loved."
Her teammate Virginia Torrecilla showed off a tattoo on her hand that was done by Mapi.
When the Spanish defender announced that she will possibly start a tattoo artist traineeship in September, Torrecilla jumped on the occasion and jokingly said "she will tattoo me for free."
Footage shows the Spanish team training, as they prepare to take on the United States on Monday at 20:00 CEST (18:00 GMT) at the Auguste-Delaune II stadium in Reims.
