
USA: Huge explosion rocks downtown Philadelphia refinery
Footage from early Friday morning shows a large fire erupting at the Philadelphia Energy Solutions Refining Complex in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reportedly triggering several explosions and sending flames and thick plumes of smoke high into the sky.
Local authorities said the fire broke out around 4 a.m. local time in a butane vat at the crude oil refinery which is reportedly the largest refinery on the East Coast of the United States.
It was not immediately clear how the fire started, but authorities said there were no immediate reports of injuries.
