
Germany: National squad announced for FIFA Women's World Cup 2019
Germany coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg announced her 23-woman squad with five additional backups for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019, in Frankfurt on Tuesday.
The German campaign to win a third World Cup title will be led by captain and striker Alexandra Popp. Other experienced players announced in the squad include Dzsenifer Marozsan, Melanie Leupolz and Lena Goessling.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 starts on June 7 in France and will feature 24 teams divided into six groups of four teams each.
