
UK: Revellers celebrate royal birth at Buckingham Palace
Excited people flocked to Buckingham Palace in London to celebrate the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first child, after the royal family announced his birth on Monday.
Tourists and locals alike stood outside the palace gates and took photos on the historic occasion.
One woman said her whole family had waited with bated breath for the birth of the newest addition to the royal family, after seeing an Instagram post about the Duchess going into labour.
"We all just sort of waited as a family, we were all like watching the news and then she finally said that it had been born this morning. And then they put on their Instagram that it was a boy. We were really excited," she said.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, gave birth to a baby boy on Monday morning. Prince Harry, who was present at the birth, told reporters the couple was still thinking of names for the child.
