
UK: It's a boy! Prince Harry announces birth of son
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, gave birth to a baby boy in the early hours of the morning, Prince Harry announced in Windsor on Monday.
The Duke, who was present for the birth, told reporters that both mother and baby were doing well and that they were still thinking of names for the child.
"It's been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there," he said.
According to Buckingham Palace, the baby weighs 3.2kg (7lbs 3oz).
UK Prime Minister Theresa May, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby have all expressed their congratulations to the royal couple.
