
Afghanistan: At least 13 killed, 50 wounded in police hq attack in Baghlan Province
Dozens of army and police vehicles were filmed on the streets of Pol-e-Khomri in Baghlan Province, on Sunday, after armed men reportedly attacked the city's police headquarters, killing at least 13 people and injuring more than 50.
Reports say that Taliban members detonated a Humvee outside the compound, before storming inside and started shooting. At least 13 policemen were killed, while at least 20 of the wounded people are reported to be civilians.
In addition, nearby houses were damaged by the blast, as seen on the footage.
"The glasses and windows all fell down. I saw that the explosion happened near the police station. The clashes are still ongoing and can shots can be heard, as well as other weapons but we do not know what is happening inside the police station," said one local resident.
