Blue Origin launched its New Shepard suborbital rocket on its 11th test flight at their testing ground near Van Horn in west Texas on Thursday, in preparation for flights to space containing human passengers.

The rocket-capsule combination took off at 8.35am local time (1335 GMT), bringing with it 38 payloads, 9 of which were supported by NASA. They passed the Karmen Line of 100 kilometres (330,000 feet) above sea level- the boundary between Earth and outer space, before returning to Earth about ten minutes after lift-off. The mission reportedly marked the first time Blue Origin launched and landed one of its rockets five times.

Blue Origin has not revealed how much tickets will cost for their hypothetical space trips, but their ambitious, long-term goal is to facilitate millions of people living and working in space.
